Four honorees are named for the 9th Annual Positively Powerful Awards ceremony held every year to celebrate the distinct and diverse female recipients from the greater Phoenix area.
This year’s empowerment awards ceremony themed, “Transformation, Wealth & Health!,” will be held at 5 p.m. on June 25, at Halle Heart Children’s Museum in Tempe.
Dr. Joel P. Martin, founder of Triad West Inc., an Arizona-based corporation that began in 1997, will host the celebration. Her company provides corporations with specialist support in leadership development, diversity, inclusion and cultural competency.
“Through my decades of experience working with corporations and employees, I encountered too many women who thought of themselves as secondary participants with little importance. I knew something had to be done to show them how important and crucial they are to businesses and growing American sectors,” said Dr. Martin in a prepared statement, noting her passion for honoring ‘exemplary women who are the very best in their fields.’
The 2016 award recipients are:
- SRP Senior Director Carrie S. Young of Corporate Operations Services, Global Leadership
- Director of Sales & Marketing Anna Maria Maldonado of Care1st Health Plan AZ, Health Advocacy Leadership
- Charlene Tarver, Esq., of the Tarver Law Group, PLLC, Inaugural Human Rights Leadership
- GoDaddy Director of Corporate Social Responsibility Tyler Butler of Technology Leadership
“Let’s celebrate the accomplishments of women in ways that empower all people to live their dreams. Let’s get together to change more lives and businesses for the better,” Dr. Martin said in a press release.
